Dr. Saber Sotoodeh
School of Psychology, University of Sussex
Bridging the gap between Movement Science, Psychology, Neuroscience, and AI. I use a multidisciplinary approach to decode human behaviour and find data-driven solutions to real-world developmental challenges.
Motor Behaviour
Unboxing motor development, learning and control from early to late life and different populations is my main interest.
Psychology
Examining the intrinsic link between mind and body. I study how the quality of physical movement acts as a window into cognitive and emotional health.
Machine Learning and AI
Utilizing state-of-the-art Deep Learning to analyze motion. I develop markerless Pose Estimation pipelines that allow us to capture precise data in naturalistic settings, moving research out of the lab and into the real world.
Neuroscience
Exploring the neural underpinnings of action. I use EEG and neuroimaging to understand the motor system's foundation in neurodiverse individuals.
Translation to Practice
From code to clinic. My goal is to translate complex computational findings into practical, accessible tools for early diagnosis and intervention.
